Service of Thanksgiving For Howard

Dear friends,

It is wonderful how many of you are able to join us as we celebrate Howards's life on Monday.
I just wanted to let you know a few details about the day

Firstly the time has changed! Thankfully the Funeral Directors have given us an extra 15 minutes for the service so the timings are now as follows

1.00 - Doors open
1.30 - Service starts
3.00 - A small party of close family will depart to the crematorium
3.00 - Refreshments will be served for those staying at the church
There will be a video booth where you can record your memories of Howard
There will also be a book of condolences for those who prefer pen and paper
3.30 - Hot food will be served
4.00 - Family party will return
4.30-6.30 - Open Mic where friends and family can share memories of Howard
7pm - Finish

The Celebration will be held at: Elim Pentecostal Church, Hainault Road, Leytonstone, E11 1EL

Dress code - Whenever I asked Howard what I should wear to an event he would say "Whatever you are comfy in" so that is the dress code for his Celebration. If you want to wear bright colours feel free to do so, if you prefer to wear black please do. Formal or casual it is entirely up to you.

Travelling by Public Transport
The church is 5-7 minutes walk from Leytonstone Underground Station.
There are also several buses that stop outside the church:
W15 & W19 that run from both Leytonstone and Walthamstow Central Stations
W16 that runs from both Leytonstone and Wood Street stations

Parking - We are expecting over 350 people so parking will be in short supply.
The streets around the church are mainly CPZ but the police have lifted parking restrictions on the following roads Fairlop Road and Hainault Road.
We also have parking vouchers for the Abbots Park/Midland Road area (AM) which is about 5 mins walk from the station (these will be available from Cheryl prior to Monday or on the day from the reception desk at Elim Church.

Flowers - we will just be having flowers from the immediate family. However we will be having a collection on the day that will be shared between four charities that Howard regularly supported.

Cakes - Many of you have asked if you can bring anything. We have caterers who will be providing a range of hot food but if you are a baker and would like to bake a cake that would be great.

Viewing - Should you wish to see Howard you can contact the Funeral home to arrange a visit on Friday 19th January.

Finally we are expecting a lot of people so to be sure of a seat I would recommend that you arrive as early as possible.

I look forward to seeing you all on Monday,

Cheryl x
