Cornerstone Church is a member of The East London Citizens Organisation (TELCO) which is a part of Citizens UK. Encouraged by the Right Reverend Peter Hill, the Bishop of Barking, our vicar has joined the leadership team that is re-founding Waltham Forest Citizens. This team is building a broad based alliance of institutions from the borough who work together using the tools of community organising to develop the leadership capacity of their people, to strengthen their organisations enabling them to deliver on their mission, and to act together for social justice and the common good.

This serves our mission in a number of ways. Firstly, as a 'Home for His family,' Cornerstone Church seeks to develop our people so that each one of us can walk into all that God has called us to. This, in turn, enables us to fulfil our goal of being a, 'people for His purposes,' making a positive impact in our community through building bridges across cultural barriers and shining the light of Jesus into heartfelt social problems while empowering the people to change things for the common good.
